Why I'm Running

I’m running for Clayton County District 1 Commissioner because our community deserves leadership that listens, shows up, and delivers not more talk and broken promises.

For too long, progress has passed too many of our neighborhoods by. Families are working hard yet struggling to stay stable. Seniors are too often overlooked. Too many of our young people don’t see a future for themselves right here at home. That is unacceptable and it’s exactly why I decided to step forward.

This campaign is about restoring trust in local government and ensuring that District 1 is no longer an afterthought. I believe community leadership should be a tool that works for the people, not something residents have to fight to be heard by.

As your District 1 Commissioner, I will focus on practical, people-centered solutions that strengthen our neighborhoods and create real opportunities. That means fighting for good jobs, career pathways, and new businesses that hire locally, helping families build long-term wealth. It means supporting entrepreneurs and small business owners with the tools and access they need to grow right here in Clayton County.

It also means investing in our future by creating real opportunities for our youth through training, mentorship, and education. Additionally, I will ensure our seniors and veterans are respected, supported, and never forgotten.

I am running because quality of life matters. Access to healthy, fresh food should not depend on your ZIP code. I will work to expand food access through better dining options, community gardens, and neighborhood-centered solutions that strengthen our local economy.

Safe, well-maintained streets and beautiful neighborhoods matter too. I will prioritize beautification, infrastructure, and affordable housing strategies that help families stay rooted and stable while addressing displacement and homelessness with dignity and practical solutions.

Mental health and wellness are not side issues; they are foundational. A healthy community starts with healthy people, and I will continue to advance access to mental health and wellness resources as a core part of county leadership.

I’m running because District 1 needs leadership that understands systems and people. I bring executive-level experience, community trust, and a results-driven mindset to this race. I know how to turn vision into execution and how to measure whether something is actually working. I’m not running to make noise. I’m running to do the work.

This campaign isn’t about politics. It’s about people, purpose, and progress you can see and feel.

I’m here to earn your trust, work beside you, and fight for a future where District 1 thrive not someday, but now. Together, through community involvement, we can make District 1 flourish.
